Our Earthley Products Recommendations:
It’s a Sunday morning and we’re kept home from church due to the second child falling to a bad cold.
On Monday it was the two-year-old, and as I reached for our trusty basket of remedies and vitamins, I couldn’t believe it - nearly every bottle was on its last drop.
I feel as if this is often my fate.
So I decided to put this post together as a reminder to my fellow mama friends - the cold weather often brings with it the dreaded ailments and don’t be caught short like I was.
I’m going to give you a list of what we’ve found helpful in our household to help kick sickness at its very first signs.
FOR ADULTS:
Apple Cider Vinegar: It rarely fails Zach and me! One to Two Tablespoons in water a few times a day will often kick it. Be sure to start it as soon as you notice symptoms! It is most effective at the very start and you can often avoid the sickness altogether.
Cayenne Lemonade: This one is very unpleasant in my opinion! But it really can work. Squeeze some lemons into a cup of water, add ginger if you have it, and sprinkle with cayenne pepper!
A glass full will certainly help!
FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY:
Vita-C: This one is so easy to give to kiddos
Immune-Aid Powder: This one lasts a bit longer than the Vita-C Drops but can be harder for kiddos to take! Our kiddos have done fine with it but it doesn’t fully dissolve so you’ll want to add it to a smoothie or something thick.
Elderberry Elixer: A must - especially for the little ones! Dosage is just a few drops so it will go a long way!
Vitamin D Cream: For those long winters when we all are so deficient!
Feel Better Fast: A good one for all ages when the symptoms first show!
Cough B Gone: You can get the kids and adults one - helpful for respiratory sickness.
Super Foods Powder: We have found this to help keep a healthy gut and fight off the stomach flu. We often mix a little into Grape Juice when we know the stomach bug is going around.
A FEW THINGS I PLAN TO TRY:
I hope this is helpful - at the very least as a reminder to restock the “medicine” cabinet! I would love to hear what you’re finding helpful as well - share in the comments if you have a moment!
